No potato scallops,rude and lazy staff then asked for a sausage they said you'll have to wait 10 minutes 20 minutes later still no sausage would not recommend highly recommend the other bizzie lizzies in skipton

I’m from Australia and had been on a road trip up from all around the UK with my girlfriend and when we came to Bizzie Lizzie’s in Skipton, we were instantly comfortable. Kim the waitress was the greatest waitress/waiter we had encountered on our entire trip. She had a lovely warm smile, kind eyes, a wonderful sense of humour and was very informative when it came to the beer menu. She did not shy away from friendly conversation, whilst remaining professional and courteous, and when we told her how wonderful she was, she was nothing but humble. The food was mighty satisfying, but if for no other reason, got to Bizzie Lizzie’s to meet Kim and give her a smile. She deserves it

Fantastic! It's called Bizzie Lizzies for a reason because it's packed! I ordered to go today during a very busy and very dinner time rush for staff, but despite thus they where very enthusiastic and pleasant while taking my order. I'm Gluten Free so I got the GF fish and chips, it was delicious! The chips where perfectly fried and the fish was fresh and the batter was light fluffy and crunchy. Honesty the best fish chips I've had in a long time! If your in Skipton and want fish and chips this is the place to get it. 5 Stars 🌟

Visited today for a takeaway fish butty, sausage and chips and a child’s nuggets meal. Was so disappointed! The chips were cold, really poor meal! Definitely better chip shops in the area. Feels like a tourist trap for sure.

It's definitely my favourite fish and chip restaurant. I used to take my son there to eat once a month in the restaurant, looking out over the canal. Now, I take my granddaughter. The fish is not up to the standard it used to be. However, that's understandable in the current financial situation. Still love going there, as does my granddaughter. It's well worth a visit.

Takeaway part of bizzie lizzies at the top end of Skipton, counter is always dirty covered in salt some of staff are rude, prices are shocking no one seems to know which door to queue,but if your eating inside it maybe a different experience

Served by kids essentially. Sat on a tiny table 3 inches away from people I don’t know. Was charged £16.65 for what was essentially a large fish finger, a pot of peas, 2 rounds of stale bread very thinly “buttered” with catering spread and a small cup of tea. Had to ask for salt and tartare sauce. I think I was punished for ordering a fish cooked in sunflower oil rather than dripping by getting half a fish. My friend who I was with was that mortified that she gave me one of her goujons, which was roughly the same size! I asked the teenager who brought it to the table if that was my order and I said I was not happy with the portion size. He said it’s a weighted amount, which quite frankly I don’t believe as I worked in a chip shop for 6 years, so I know how it works! Expressed how disappointed I was to the other teenage waitress and told her it was the smallest piece of fish I had ever eaten. Apart from handing me a feedback form and saying “sorry about that” I left feeling totally ripped off. My friend is a regular there and she had assured me that a fish portion there was like a whale…she was embarrassed and apologetic. I gave the staff plenty of opportunity to rectify this, but clearly a waste of time.

So I visited this chip shop when I brought my partner to skipton for an appointmentshe had ,whilst parking I seen the chip shop and thought il give it a try as I was a bit peckish , I bought a chip butty which was priced at just over £4 (a bit steep but thought I’m hungry it is what it is ) then I asked if they could make it a large which then took the bill to one £7.60 🫣🫣 but I said nothing and carried on , only to get all the way back to the car to find out I’d obviously been gave a child’s portion or maybes rations with the on going crisis 👀👀😳😳 I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous and overpriced in all my life …. I mean when you rob someone normally you wear a mask !! And to top it off some of the chips tastes half cooked 🫣🫣

We would visit this fish and chips restaurant on a regular basis but yesterday our fish and chips was very poor and we will probably not return. We believe after our experience the management need to make massive changes. Sorry for this bad review Malcolm

Came in seated quickly. Got one battered sausege and one normal (this was after lunch rush) one ssausege was cold and tough though one was fine
